Funny Kid

Aside from the battles over food sometimes and the recent, prolific use of the word "NO!!!" that seem to be part of being a toddler now, she is such a ham and makes us laugh every day.
With that in mind, just sharing a couple of videos and pics from the past few weeks...

She has taken to using the vacuum accessories as "phones."

The socks in this video were once white,
but have only been successfully washed to a dull gray after this...

Cleaning the windows while wearing Mommy's shoes.

Keeping Ed company while he eats...
he would really prefer to eat alone, but she is SURE he wants company!

"It's a party in here! - Come on in!"

Trying to be super efficient with her morning ablutions, I think.
Both ears and a toothbrush - she'll be a master multi-tasker like her Dad!

"They pay cheerios around here."

We had a great time in Portland with Matt, Sarah, Anna, and Mila over the weekend of Mother's Day.  Grace was pretty much Anna's shadow while we were there.  We had a great dinner out one night sans kiddos, the guys got to go golfing one day, Sarah and I got to get out and go shopping, have lunch, and get pedicures, and Saturday night caught up with lots of friends at a get-together Matt and Sarah were super kind to host.  On Mother's Day we went to church, followed by yummy treats at a great little coffeeshop, and later a visit to see our friends the Meierotto's and brand-new baby Charlie.  Such a wonderful break to get away and so good to see family and friends in Portland!

 It's HAPPY Mother's Day, right?  :)

Easter 2011

She loved her Easter care package from Grandma Terry & Grandpa Jim.!
Video link:

And she enjoyed her Easter card from Rebecca and Steve.

On Saturday we went to evening church services,
and she got to wear her new dress from Grandpa Tom.

On Sunday morning, we volunteered in the children's nursery at church,
and she got to wear her new dress and hat from Grandma Terry & Grandpa Jim.

The Easter bunny brought her a new coloring book, chocolate,
her own set of pink gardening tools, and a bunny.

Happy Easter, everyone!!

March/April

She and Elmo are pretty close these days.
She loves to put him in her highchair so that she feed him, give him a drink,
and sometimes share her afternoon snack.

Whenever she goes out to the garage with she wants to sit on "Da-ee bike".
It's lots of fun to push the "buttons".
She's not too sure yet about the sound of it when it's running though.

A few weeks ago we went to a birthday party at Monkey Business,
a play gym here in town, and she had a blast.
 And so did her Dad!
They really liked going down the big slide together!
Slide video:

Just being silly...
Last weekend we went to Ella's 2nd birthday party.
She had fun playing with the sidewalk chalk.
...and helping Ella enjoy her birthday presents.

A favorite new pic

I don't know what it is about it, but I just LOVE this picture.
I took it last week with my phone's camera, which doesn't usually take the best pics,
but this one turned out pretty adorable.
She had found her Dad's hat that morning after he left for school, put it on saying "Da-eee, Haa"
(her words for Daddy's Hat), and wore it for the rest of the morning.

She had also found some Burt's Bee's chapstick and had fun putting that on -
her lips, her chin, her cheeks, the table.... :)
